Born from a vision to transform South Africa's creative landscape, the Local Content Production Finance Fund was established in 2019 as a strategic government initiative to address critical gaps in film and television financing.

LCPFF launched with R500 million initial funding, focusing on supporting emerging filmmakers and promoting local content.

Chief Executive Officer

With over 15 years in film finance and production, Dr. Mthembu leads LCPFF's strategic vision. Previously served as Head of Content Development at the National Film and Video Foundation.

Nomsa Khumalo

Head of Funding Operations

Nomsa oversees the application review process and fund disbursement. Her background in investment banking and passion for storytelling make her instrumental in supporting filmmakers.

Sipho Ndlovu

Creative Director

Award-winning filmmaker and former head of development at major production houses. Sipho ensures funded projects maintain artistic integrity while meeting commercial viability standards.

Lerato Mokoena

Head of Industry Relations

Lerato manages partnerships with distributors, broadcasters, and international co-production partners. Her extensive network helps funded projects reach global audiences.

Mandla Dlamini

Financial Controller
